Alarm Parameters Survey

In 2013, the Joint Commission announced the National Patient Safety Goal on clinical alarm safety where hospitals must make efforts to address alarm fatigue as a priority. The implementation occurs in two phases: the first began in January 2014 and the second began in January 2016.

Hospitals have expressed a desire to share information about alarm range settings to help inform their decisions. To assist in that, CHPSO would like to learn about the various alarm default parameters in your organization and created a survey for your feedback. Please complete this survey Friday, by January 6th and we will share the results with members. A link to the survey is available by clicking here.

Thank you for your participation and we look forward to sharing the results with you.
