The new Nationwide Alliance of PSOs (NAPSO (tm)) already includes 700 hospitals. This alliance will accelerate progress toward identifying and understanding risks, and acting to eliminate preventable harm to hospital patients. The data sharing is made possible through provisions in the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act, and will maintain strict and extensive protections afforded information reported to PSOs.
